QuiltCon 2024

QuiltCon is the largest modern quilting show of its kind across the world. The event is organised in a different US city every year and is organised by the Modern Quilt Guild(MQG).

The event attracts thousands of attendees who come to see hundreds of modern quilts on display which includes a juried quilt show with entries from MQG members around the world. 

Show admission start at $15 for a day.

Exhibition:

The competition section is a juried show. Applications are now closed. Notifications will be sent by 15 Dec,2023. In addition to this there are yearly challenges.

There are 7 general categories-

• Applique
• Handwork
• Improvisation
• Minimalist Design
• Use of negative space
• Piecing
• Modern Traditionalism

In addition to thisThere are 6 specific categories like Group or Bee Quilts. There are 4 challenges running for the 2024 event.

Jacquie Gering is 2024's featured lecturer and exhibit.

Learning: 

The 2024 event will have close to 46 faculty and 168 learning sessions.

Lectures start at $18 and a 3 hour workshow starts at $120.

Market: 

More than 90 vendors will be setting shop at the 2024 show. Vendor registration is now closed and will open for the 2025 event in Jun'24.

Next Event: The 2025 Quiltcon will be held at Pheonix, Arizona,  from February 20-23, 2025. Faculty applications are currently open. Application deadline: January 31, 2024.
