About the Event
Mountain State Art & Craft Fair offers a unique shopping, family fun and entertainment opportunity which gives a glimpse of the Appalachian life.
The Mountain State Art & Craft Fair was introduced as part of West Virginia’s Centennial Celebration and was intended to be a one-time event in 1963. The Fair continues to provide a marketplace for the state’s talented artisans.
Artisans who exhibit at the fair are selected by a jury of experts. Their products represent some form of traditional or contemporary Appalachian arts and crafts.
Typically the entry fee is $5 for visitors 12 years and older. Free entry for 11 years or younger.
